T.
puquiensis also has a different juvenile form than T.
peruvianus.
Grown from seed it is very thin, unlike T. peruvianus when very small
up to a couple feet high. My seed grown plant (only one left; I traded all
the rest) are only-mail stem almost 2 in thick and 5 branches only 1/12 to
13/4 in thick. Whole plant is only about 15 or 18 in high.
All other
descriptions and dimensions are the same as the plant at the BBG. Except on
the small plant, the spines are a little smaller since the plant is smaller.
Also branches are from 2 in above base, not at base like T. peruvianus.
